Symptoms
Whenever a cancer word is taken in any form, it increases a
person’s heart beat in terms of fear. There are many forms of cancer and colon is one of them. It is a bit new and
unique in its own terms. Colon is a part of digestive system of our body. It helps in digestion and in absorbing
the nutrients, mineral and providing it to different parts of the body. There are specific symptoms to determine
whether a person suffering is from colon cancer or not and it is important for everybody to know this symptoms so
that everybody can come to know and can take precautionary measures. The colon makes up major part of large
intestine and helps body to throw the waste in form of stools.
There are two types of colon cancer symptoms: one is local and other is systemic. In local colon cancer symptoms, a person will see some
changes in his bowel habits. He will face problems like constipation, diarrhea on regular basis. He also might
suffer from problems like abdominal discomfort, gas pain, etc. Some more local symptoms are that a person might get
blood in his or her stools. The stools can also be thinner than normal. These all are the local colon cancer symptoms. In systemic colon cancer symptoms, a person might start losing weight even without doing any
type of dieting or exercise. He or she might start getting tired at small interval of time. He might suffer from
extreme fatigue, nausea, etc. The red blood cell count and iron proportion also reduces in the body. He or she
might suffer from jaundice as well. These symptoms are not seen in early stages but if a person is suffering from
these symptoms he or she should immediately consult doctor and should take an appointment of doctor to do the check
up. Colon cancer
symptoms affect the whole body and slowly it starts destroying the
immune system of the body. A person should immediately visit a hospital or show the doctor at once about the
condition.
There are various tests a person has to
undergo for colon cancer. A doctor will check your condition and stage of colon cancer in person’s body. He will
collect the blood samples and will do all the testing of that blood. Generally people don’t want to give blood
samples or are afraid of doing the test as they get afraid of suffering from a disease known as cancer. There are
many medicines for colon cancer and different doctor might give different medicines to different patient based on
the severity of cancer. As soon as colon cancer symptoms are seen, a person should
immediately rush to hospital for regular check up. These symptoms are not seen in person only for the colon cancer
but may be there just as other diseases, so a person might be very careful before coming to any conclusion.
These colon cancer
symptoms are generally seen in people of 50-70 years of age. Hence it
is always advisable to do regular checkups of whole body once a person completes 50
years.
